Spring Essentials for Your Dog

Updated: Feb 15

It may still be a little cold outside but Spring is finally here and the warmer weather is just around the corner! With more daylight hours comes more time for walks! You probably can’t wait to get outside with your Cream Puff and start enjoying the sunshine. Whether you’re a veteran dog owner or you just got your first puppy, we’ve put together a list of springtime essentials that we know you and your pup will love.

Alaskan Salmon Oil

We talked about this Alaskan Salmon Oil in our March 2022 newsletter as a recommendation for pups with allergies. Aside from being a great anti-itch remedy for allergy season, this nutrient-packed supplement also supports your dog’s skin, coat, hips, joints, heart, and immune system. If you’re a multi-pet household it’s great for cats too!

Mud Buster Paw Cleaner

Springtime walks might just be the best, the weather is not yet blazing hot but the air has lost its winter chill. The one downfall to spring weather - rain! With rain comes mud, and with mud comes muddy paws. We love the simplicity and convenience of the MudBuster Paw Cleaner. It’s available in a variety of colors and sizes, and is compact enough to take on walks and hikes so you don’t have to worry about your vehicle getting muddy either. Leave those muddy paw prints outside!

Dog Raincoat

While we’re on the topic of rain, another springtime investment for your pup is a doggy raincoat. We love this classic yellow slicker. It's made from high visibility material and has a reflective band around the middle. Perfect for those evening walks and rainy spring days.

Ball Launcher

Does your pup love to play fetch? Throw the ball further and save yourself some arm-work with this ball launcher - a win all around!

Water Dispenser Bottle

This water dispenser bottle is a must-have to keep your dog hydrated while out and about in the spring and summer!

Collapsible Pet Bowl

If you’re going camping or even just out for the day, you may want to take some food as well as water for your dog. These collapsible pet bowls are a great budget-friendly travel accessory, they’re lightweight and easy to attach to your backpack or leash.

Paw Protection

We actually recommend these booties and paw wax all year round. Great for hiking in spring and fall, they provide a barrier to the hot pavement in summer and protect against the cold snow in winter.

Cooling Elevated Pet Bed

Now your pup can have a patio lounge chair too! This bed is a breathable, durable option to help your pet keep cool in the warmer months. It’s highly rated and can be used indoors too.

Outdoor Stake & Leash

This sturdy stake and leash will let your pup enjoy the outdoors without giving you the anxiety of them wandering off.
